A southern (and Texan!) staple, homestyle pecan pie in my famous all-butter, from-scratch, flaky, crunchy crust. Sure, you've had pecan pie before, but mine is the perfected version of a true classic. I deeply toast the nuts and my pie crust is second to none.  (Picture is before baking)  Don't forget to buy the vanilla ice cream and serve it warm. Yum.

Celebrate Texas peaches with this delicious pie. Large slices of ripe peaches are layered with butter and sugar and topped with a decorative lattice. All-butter crust, all from scratch. A recipe given to me by an old family friend in Atlanta. First I roast sweet potatoes to earthy sweetness, then add cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, mace, and clove to warm the pie from within, while fresh orange zest brightens the richness.
